Wow. Somehow a year and a half has gone by since my last blog post. I’d love to blame it on some fantastical reason, but the honest truth is that life has been busy.
I work a “paying job” that I love and that pays the bills. In the meantime, I’m working to build CareTreks into a self-supporting business. I have three amazing and nearly all-grown-up kids who also lead busy lives that sometimes run parallel to mine, sometimes intersect it, and sometimes take it over completely. All as it should be. In the midst of this, we have been Family Caregivers ourselves – however, that journey came to an end this January after 7 1/2 years. More on this new transition for us coming in a future post.
All this is to say that I plan to be better in the 18 months than I was in the past 18 months. I can’t promise how much better, but it’s good to set goals, even when the resolutions of January become the resolutions of March.
